All the air you breathe in your home passes thru your furnace; which is why that is where the filter is. Even the very best filters allow 5-8% of the debris to pass thru and most allow 3-4x that to get by; only the hot side of your heating system is filtered; that is why when we clean your ducts the cold air trunks and intakes are full of debris.
While we are cleaning your ducts it is strongly recommended that we clean your furnace as well. The furnace cleaning includes air washing of your a/c A-Frame (which is positioned in your duct work above your furnace). Because of the position of your a/c A-Frame, it is not cleaned during typical furnace cleaning by gas companies.
A dirty A-Frame can contribute to poor air circulation both in the heating and cooling cycles. It will make your air conditioner work far less efficiently. We have had clients who have had their air conditioning units replaced and have found no improvement in their a/c operation.
Only to later open up the duct work and find an A frame plugged with pet hair. This is an expensive lesson that could have easily been prevented with duct and furnace cleaning. We can also air wash your heat exchanger, air inlets, furnace fan and housing. We do not dismantle or tune the furnace itself.
Duct Cleaning standard pricing for Residential Homes, with 1 Furnace is a flat rate of $295+HST. This includes up to 10 vents/returns and 2 hook-ups (this is into the main trunks that come out the top of the Furnace).
Additional vents/returns area $10 each and additional hook-ups are $35 each (if required). Crawl Space access is a $100 flat fee on top of the base rate.
If your home has two Furnaces, your charge will be twice the $295 rate, plus any additional vents/returns and hook-ups.
AAA Duct Cleaning’s expert dryer vent cleaning system can make your home safer and more energy efficient. Over time the build up of lint in your dryer vent poses a potential risk of fire. In the U.S. the Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that over 15,000 dryer related fires occur each year causing an estimated 97 million dollars in property loss. At the same time clogged dryer vent pipes cause your dryer to work harder and can greatly increase the time it takes to dry your clothes, thereby increasing energy costs. With usage your dryer vent fills with lint that is not properly screened by the dryer’s filter. Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct. Lint build up restricts air flow, causing excessive heat build-up and the risk of combustion within the vent pipe. In addition animal nests can clog the dryer vent and create further danger and expense. A clogged dryer vent can lead to overheating of the dryer motor and break down. In some instances this has resulted in dryer fires. As the dryer motor overheats due to blockage in the exhaust dryer vent the lint (a flammable substance) catches on fire. To avoid this dangerous hazard have your dryer vent cleaned at the same time as your furnace and ducts. Cleaning of the dryer vent can prolong the life of your dryer and reduce energy costs by promoting clothes to dry faster.
AAA Duct Cleaning technicians use specialized equipment to thoroughly clean the entire vent duct exhaust line … from the dryer through to the exterior exhaust vent hood, effectively removing lint buildup and allowing the dryer to operate at its peak efficiency; given age and condition of the dryer.
Customers experience the immediate benefits of reduced drying time, energy savings and greatly reduced fire hazard … in addition to the long term benefits of reduced dryer damage.
